🏀 Our off-season starts now

Edition 109.

A New Yorker moves to Texas.

Then, for the first time in 53 years, the Knicks win the NBA championship. Over the San Antonio Spurs.

The irony is personal.

But the only allegiance I’m pledging right now?

The off-season.

For athletes, championships are won in the off-season.

For business owners, same.

’Tis the season to clean our email lists, build the flows, tighten the brand story, and get the email channel ready.

Because Q4 will be here faster than I can hop a plane back to New York, beg the city to take me back, and catch a whiff of that post-win, cross-borough high.

Congrats to the Knicks.

Now it’s *our* turn to build.

This Tuesday, join me at the virtual Saltbox Summer Summit:

Built for Peak: The Founder’s Playbook for Q4

It’s a FREE 3-day virtual summit.

And I’m speaking on Day 1: June 23, 2026 at 2:35 PM ET // 1:35 PM CT.

The topic: the MVP of digital marketing channels, email. 🏆

✨ You’re invited! ✨

I’ll be sharing a founder- and creative-forward lens on:

  • how I turn brand story into email that converts
  • when to use high-design emails vs. text-only sends
  • how to balance story-led sequences with sales-led strategy
  • what billion-dollar brands are doing inside the inbox, pulled from my top-secret brand inbox

And if you’ve been around for other editions of The Brand Bloc, then you know I’ve shared this before:

I stalk study what billion-dollar brands do with email sequences and apply those lessons to my own product and personal brands. 🧐

Plus, I’ve designed emails hands-on for enterprise-level brands, where every send has to carry the story, look on-brand, and drive action.

At the Summer Summit, I’m sharing the plays (and my personal fails) so you can use this “off-season” to go big, without the big-brand budget.

Replay will be available if you can’t make it live.

So, still register now so you can swipe the plays after.

More brand bytes next Sunday at 5!

And Happy Father’s Day to those that celebrate.
